Designed for individuals aged 12 to 30, Leo Clubs provide a supportive environment where members can engage in meaningful activities, develop valuable skills, and make a positive impact in their communities. From organizing fundraisers and volunteering at local events to initiating service projects addressing pressing social issues, Leo Club members actively contribute to the betterment of society while fostering camaraderie and teamwork.

The Lions Youth of the Year program, an esteemed initiative of Lions Clubs Australia, is a platform that empowers young Australians to showcase their leadership skills, academic achievements, community involvement, and public speaking abilities. This prestigious competition, designed for students in their final years of secondary schooling, provides participants with a unique opportunity to develop confidence, resilience, and interpersonal skills.
Through a series of local, district, and state finals, contestants engage in rigorous assessments, including interviews and impromptu speeches, under the guidance of dedicated Lions volunteers. The program not only recognises outstanding young leaders but also fosters a supportive community where participants can network, learn from each other, and grow both personally and professionally. By celebrating the achievements and potential of youth, the Lions Youth of the Year program embodies Lions Clubs’ commitment to nurturing future generations of leaders who will make a positive impact on their communities and beyond.

Youth Exchange Program | District 201V1-4
The Lions International Youth Exchange program, established in 1961, is a cornerstone initiative of Lions Clubs Australia, aimed at fostering global harmony and cultural understanding among youths aged 15 to 21. Through carefully curated exchanges, participants immerse themselves in diverse cultures, gaining invaluable insights and forging lifelong friendships. Emphasising personal growth, resilience, and cross-cultural competencies, the program equips participants to become global citizens capable of positive contributions to their communities.
Supported by a network of volunteers and organisations, the program ensures a safe and enriching experience, prioritising the well-being and development of each participant.
